[edit] Overview

TOUR07 Inward Scream is Dir en grey's first North American headlining tour, following the band's two-show Showcase Tour in March of 2006, with support bands Bleed the Dream and Fair to Midland. It is unknown if any of the shows from this tour will be filmed for a upcoming DVD release by Dir en grey. The tour kicked-off in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on February 1st, 2007, and ended in San Francisco, California, on February 25, 2007. The tour spanned two countries, thirteen states, and seventeen cities. A total of seven of the tour dates were sold-out.

[edit] Shows

The set lists for the shows on the tour focused on Dir en grey's last three albums, previewing their latest release, The Marrow of a Bone. All shows featured a similar set list with minor variation.

[edit] Main set

The majority of shows opened with the band's signature introduction, "G.D.S.". The band continued at most shows with "THE FATAL BELIEVER", and the set lists vary from there. The band has consistently played "Grief," "RYOUJOKU NO AME," "OBSCURE," and popular songs from their recent albums.

[edit] Encores

The band, at every show, has performed an encore after the main set. This is consistently done at shows in Japan, and adds to the full-concert experience that the Japanese fans receive. The encores usually comprise of "C", "Beautiful Dirt," "THE IIID EMPIRE," and "CLEVER SLEAZOID," although the band has added an extra song at some of the shows.

[edit] The Marrow of a Bone songs and rarities

Although the band's sixth album, The Marrow of a Bone wasn't released until after the tour started (February 7 in Japan and February 20 in the US), Dir en grey also played songs from their album. The band performed "THE DEEPER VILENESS" and "DISABLED COMPLEXES" at various shows.
Songs that were only been performed once include "GARBAGE," "NEW AGE CULTURE," "Jesus Christ R'n R," "KODOU," "Bottom of the death valley," and "ASUNAKI KOUFUKU, KOENAKI ASU," as well as the song "Machiavellism," which was performed at two of the shows. The song "PINK KILLER" was performed at the Avalon show in Hollywood, CA.
