[edit] Unsourced Popular Grey Import Claim
"Electroplankton is one of the most popular Japan-to-US imports by gamers across the country." More accurate infomation would be appreciated. Sinerma 10:07, 23 January 2006
I think we should probably strike this statement, since I can't find any reference to support it. Rich Lem 19:29, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
I nixed it. Rich Lem 07:37, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Should we delete the external Link to the Yamaha website?
I'm wondering if we should remove the link to the Yamaha Tenori-on site - since linking to it contravenes the external links advice concerning sites which "primarily exist to sell products or services". (External links). What does everyone think? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! Rich Lem 09:15, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- The Yamaha Tenori-on site isn't a typical example of what you're talking about, I don't think. It's the best site on the internet that explains the instrument, its design (and function), and the rationale behind it. I think it's far more informative than commercial - I know there's a fine and subjective line here, but I think it should be kept. Cormaggio @ 11:09, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
Great, thanks for the advice Cormaggio - I was just concerned about Wikipedia policy, and whether we were crossing that fine line. If you feel it's OK, then I'm more than pleased agree with you, and to let the link stand in both locations, since it's definitely a good source of information! Rich Lem 21:28, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sure - no problem! When the instrument goes on sale, I'm sure there'll be much more written about it. There may well already be, but I just don't have the time to devote to Wikipedia these days.. Cormaggio @ 11:01, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Big Overhaul
Phew! I've just finished a big, big overhaul of this article. This has been my first major Wikipedia contribution, and it was a lot of fun - although corralling all the references nearly did for me. Hope you enjoy it, and of course please feel free to contribute and refine it!
Please let me know if you have any thoughts on its length - I tried to keep it as brief as possible while covering all the important subject matter.
I have a couple more pieces I want to mention (the Sound-Lens and the Bloomberg ICE installation) before I consider it really (temporarily) finished - I'll get to those ASAP.
Cheers, Rich Lem 07:46, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- <blink> Wow, Rich, that's great work - thank you so much, and well done! :-)

- It's a pleasure - thanks for the positive feedback! Rich Lem 03:28, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
