[edit] McCain history
Hi TS, I noticed that you updated the McCain Foods Limited page to include a history of acquisitions, etc. Included in this list was a statement that McCains purchased Heinz Wattie's Australasia in 2001. This is not the case, they purchased the Feilding, NZ site and some of the HW frozen food business. You can confirm this by checking the New Zealand section of the McCain site. I have edited the page to correct this, but I was hoping you would check the rest of the section for accuracy. There is a big difference between purchasing a manufacturing site and an entire company. Heinz Watties is a much larger business in New Zealand than McCains, as is H.J. Heinz globally. The two companies compete directly in some market segments in Australasia. I hope you can take the time to check your contribution as the above mistake is like saying that Taco Bell purchased McDonalds after acquiring a few restaurants. If there are similar errors it would be good for the accuracy of the article to correct them.
Thanks.
- Sorry about that. I got the info from the McCain's website and I misunderstood it. It said it acquired the french fry business form Heinz and I thought it said that it acquired the company. If I had known Heinz Wattie's Australaia was a big company I would've seen the error. I know Heinz is huge in North Amnerica but for some reason I never saw the connection between Heinz and Heinz Wattie's Australaia (probably because it says Wattie's).
- Thank you for pointing it out.

Hey, cool, thanks! I love it, I work for (now) Cingular Wireless and love some of the older logos of the Rogers/AT&T days, as well as old AT&T Wireless/McCaw Cellular. --Romeo Bravo [[User_talk:Admrboltz|=/\=]] 20:58, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Wikimedia Canada
Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there!--DarkEvil 15:12, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Google "G"Image:Google G.png
Hello. It would be nice if you could tag the image mentioned above that you added with the proper license tag. Otherwise, it may be deleted. Where (talk) 16:12, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what tag to put. All I know is that I got the image from Firefox's Search Bar's Google Search image. TorontoStorm 18:34, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: "Am I Doing this correctly?" on Template_talk:Infobox Radio station
Hello, thanks for adding the infoboxes to the Toronto radio station articles. I can't see any errors in your contributions so far; please feel free to continue adding infoboxes to other articles. However, I would like to suggest that if the city of licence and broadcast area are the same, that you only use the former (otherwise it looks a bit strange, IMO).
I'd also like to suggest that you join WikiProject Radio Stations, where there is an effort to specify some sort of common format for radio station articles. Thanks for your contributions! --Marknew 07:20, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
