Tortas ahogadas

Tortas ahogadas is a delicious torta that has been dipped in chile sauce. The chile sauce can very from a strong chile flavor to somewhat tomatoey depending on the recipe. The torta is made by splitting a bolillo in half while leaving the side attached to hold the two pieces together. A meat filling is added into the split bolillo and then the whole thing is dipped in a chile sauce. Sometimes only half of it is dipped so it is less messy.
