Torsion coefficient

In classical mechanics, a torsion coefficient is a property of torsion springs. It is the torque required to twist a body through an angle of one radian, and is usually denoted by K. Therefore it is given as
where τ is the torque and θ is the angle in radians. This equation is analogous to the spring constant given by Hooke's law, only used for rotational motion, instead of linear motion.
