[edit] Boundaries
The constituency is based around the western portion of Devon. The main towns within the constituency are Bideford, Okehampton and Tavistock.
[edit] Boundary review
Following a review of constituency boundaries conducted by the Boundary Commission for England in Devon, a significant change to existing constituencies means many electoral wards have been used to become part of a new Central Devon constituency. If approved by Parliament, these changes are expected to take effect in 2007, with candidates standing to represent the changed constituencies in the next general election after that date.
