The Torrent Group worth USD 714 million is a group of companies in India founded by U. N. Mehta. The core business of the group is pharmaceuticals and power generation. The various companies under the Torrent banner are:
- Torrent Private Ltd. - The apex company of the group
- Torrent Pharmaceuticals - One of the largest pharmaceutical companies of India
- Torrent Power - Responsible for supplying electricity to the cities of Ahmedabad and Surat
- Torrent Cables
The corporate headquarters of the company are located in the city of Ahmedabad.
