Torrance Unified School District

Torrance Unified School District (TUSD) is a school district based in Torrance, California and serving residents of that city. The District was established in 1947 and unified the following year.
TUSD has a total enrollment of approximately 25,000 students in 30 K-12 schools: five high schools (one of which is a continuation school), eight middle schools (grades 6-8), and seventeen primary schools. It also operates three adult education centers and a child development center.
As of 2006, the District Superintendent is Dr. George Mannon.
