Torneo Argentino A

Torneo Argentino A is one of the two leagues that make up the regionalised third tier of the AFA league system. The leagues counterpart is known as Primera B Metropolitana.

"Argentino A" is made up of teams from all over Argentina (El Interior), while "Primera B" is made up of teams from the most populous province of Buenos Aires.

The winners of Argentino A join the winners of Primera B in promotion to the 2nd tier of Argentine football; Primera B Nacional. There is also the potential of a 2nd promotion place when the winner of the Argentino A playoff face the 2nd worst performing Interior team from B Nacional.
