I read somewhere that the possible English name for this Pokémon was Tectoise. Michaelritchie200 13:31, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Because I do not know how, the parts referring to this Pokemon as Dodaitose should be replaced as Torterra.Brainiac07 7:10, 09 March 2007 (UTC)
- But does any reliable source independent of Serebii.net actually report this? Their news page claims that this is another "exclusive" like Chatot or Mantyke, and I thought we weren't considering Serebii.net to be a reliable source on its own?—M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 17:03, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

- I thought it was decided, in Talk:Chatot (scroll to the bottom), that until the English names become official, to refer to the Pokémon by their Japanese name in all articles, but mention that the new name has been reported and is still unconfirmed. 68.34.228.213 22:19, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

- Yeah. It's not really a press release (those go out on press wires), but it's a fansite seed kit PUSA sends to the big fansites.
