Topaze is a 1933 American film based on the French play of the same name by Marcel Pagnol. The film follows John Barrymore as a naive professor facing the reality and dishonesty of the world after he is taken advantage of by a baron's business dealings. It won the 1933 National Board of Review Award for Best Film.
