Tony Scheffler (born February 15, 1983) is a current American football tight end for the Denver Broncos. He attended Western Michigan University where he played baseball as well as football, and was the 61st overall selection in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Scheffler played at Chelsea(Mich.) High School (near Ann Arbor), where he a school record for receiving yards in a season(1,340) and finished the 2000 season with 67 receptions and 16 touchdowns. In the playoffs vs. monroe Jefferson (2000) he caught a key fourth down reception on the final drive to tie the game., wore NO. 19

He attended Western Michigan University, and had 117 receptions and 1,345 receiving yards with 13 touchdowns in his career.

Scheffler was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft. His first action came at St. Louis against the Rams, where he notched a nine yard reception.But, the first half of the season started off rough as he dropped passes in the endzone against KC, dropped passes repeatingly over the next few weeks, In a game against the San Diego Chargers on December 10, Scheffler caught his first NFL touchdown from a pass by Jay Cutler. After the following kickoff was fumbled, Scheffler caught another touchdown, a mere 48 seconds after his previous one.

The Denver media has noted Scheffler's particular chemistry with fellow rookie Cutler, terming them "buddies"[1][2] . Scheffler says, "I'm not sure if it was living together for a couple months, but we did seem to have a little bit of chemistry in the preseason."[1]
