Tony McManus (born September 22, 1980) is an American soccer player, who currently plays midfield for the Atlanta Silverbacks of the A-League

McManus played ODP for Region III making the Tennessee State Team from 1994-1999, was selected for the Region III team in 96, and the US National Pool in 1998. Was selected to the USASA Region III Team in 2003 and was a member of the US National B Team. McManus played college soccer for the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2000 to 2003, where he was recognized as one of the best defenders in the country and the Conference USA. McManus was selected as Conference USA Team of the week three times throughout his career, Soccer America Team of The Week(2), and College Soccer News Team of the Week (1) in his senior year. He was also C-USA 3rd Team All Conference in his junior year and C-USA 1st Team All Conference, C-USA Defender of the Year, NSCAA 3rd Team All-America, College Soccer Times All America in his senior season. McManus was drafted 59th overall in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft by the Chicago Fire, played in one match for the Fire against the New York Metrostars. McManus proceeded to sign with the Mariners, for whom he played 24 games in the 2004 season, scoring 1 goal and 2 assists in 898 minutes. Following the 2004 season McManus signed a contract with the Atlanta Silverbacks and played in 24 games and logged 1027 minutes in 12 starts. Following the 2005 season McManus was loaned to FC Dallas of the MLS and played in two reserve matches logging 90 minutes.
