Tony Macrini

Anthony Macrini Jr. is a veteran broadcaster, having worked in the industry for thrity years, mostly in Virginia. He is currently Program Director for WNIS and WTAR, and hosts a morning show on WNIS. Macrini is also the most highly rated radio talk show host in all of the Tidewater area.

Macrini was born in New York City in 1950 and attended Catholic schools. Together with his parents, Anthony and Eleanora, he moved to New Jersey in 1961. He attended and graduated from South Brunswick High School, New Jersey where he was active in theatre arts, cross-country running, wrestling, and track.

Shortly after graduation, Macrini enlisted in the Marine Corps. He served a tour in Vietnam as an optical systems technician and, after being honorably discharged, went to broadcasting school.

Macrini lives in Williamsburg and has two sons named Anthony III and Nicholas.
