Tony Hawk's Big Spin is a Gerstlauer spinning roller coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas that opened March 10th 2007.
This ride is brand new to Six Flags Fiesta Texas for the 2007 season. There was not much marketing done for this ride. The ride has been billed as the “total Tony Hawk experience”. It is a spinning rollercoaster. The ride is designed to have the look and feel of a giant red-and-black skatepark. It offers a full extreme sports experience, with monitors in the queue lines displaying highlights of the history of action sports; a large spinning Tony Hawk figure crowning the ride; and Tony Hawk's Big Spin merchandise available at the ride exit. The ride is 53 ft tall and rides at speeds up to 31 mph. This creates a thrilling, spinning experience. It was also mentioned that Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom Huckjam show will being touring through several Six Flags parks in 2007 to publicize the ride.
