Tony Green

Tony Abraham Green (born 1939, UK) was announcer and co-host of the popular television darts quiz Bullseye, produced by Central for ITV, and returned in the new version of the show which aired from April 2006, produced by Granada for Challenge.
A former darts player and referee, he is the BBC's lead commentator for the annual World Professional Darts Championship staged at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey. In his capacity as a BDO official, he was a protagonist in the dispute which resulted in the formation of a rival governing body for world darts. He is also a former chair of the IDPA (International Darts Players' Association).
A vocal anti-abortionist, in 2003 Tony took part in an organised protest outside 10 Downing Street, and was arrested for incitement to violence as well as throwing a dart at a policeman's helmet. All charges were later dropped and Tony continues to attend protests around the country in his spare time, although as of yet the protests have failed to have any impact.
In 2005 Tony was named the 11th most important Tony in the country by readers of the Radio Times, sandwiched between Tony Benn in 10th and Tony Hart in 12th.
Tony also appeared on Channel 4's Meet Ricky Gervais, which ran for one series in 2000.
