Tony Dixon was a fictional character in the British soap opera, Brookside, played by Gerard Bostock from 1990 until 1991, then later Mark Lennock from 1992 to 1994.
Tony was travelling in Frank Rogers' car in October 1993 when Frank crashed when swerving to avoid an oncoming car that was being driven recklessly. Frank died in hospital later that day, while 14-year-old Tony was left in a coma with a fractured skull. He never regained full consciousness and died four months later. At his funeral, Jimmy Corkhill could finally hide his guilt no more and admitted to everyone that he was the driver whose recklessness had caused the crash.
