Toni is a 1935 film by Jean Renoir. It was notable for its use of non-professional actors, though it was made at the height of Renoir's career. It is also generally considered the major precursor to the Italian neorealist movement. Luchino Visconti, one of the founding members of the neorealist movement, was assistant director on the film.
