Tongi is a city in Dhaka Division, Bangladesh. It is located at around 23°53′24″N, 90°24′21″E and has a population of 350,000. Tongi is a place where Biswa Ijtema is held every year. Tongi is located near Turag River.

Tongi is a break of gauge junction station on the Bangladesh Railway where the new cross country line across the Jamuna bridge from the western section joins the eastern section.
