[edit] Request for edit summary

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 0% for major edits and 0% for minor edits. (Based on the last 144 major and 14 minor edits in the article namespace.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 04:02, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Predator (film)

Re Might Have been vandalism, It was! Thanks for reverting. Orangutan 14:08, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Morley???

Orangutan, perhaps you can tell me, who the hell is Rob Morley? What the heck does he have to do with Predator or Wiki vandalism? Tommyt 16:41, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Most likley the author of the edits! The IP adress used came from the U.K. so it's probably some kid who is bored on his easter holidays. If it had been a U.S kid it would have probably been Chuck Norris or Poopy, They seem to be the current vandalism memes Orangutan 17:21, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
    • Thanks, I thought it might've been one of those repeated vandalism things, you know, the fun thing to do liked subbing the word "pwned" for "beaten" in the '92 LA Riots article. Damnable lil' punks!! Tommyt 17:39, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Auschwitz

Hi there: at Auschwitz the crematoria and gas chambers, of which there were four at Birkenau, were each built as an integrated unit; the bodies were just taken through a door from the gas chamber to the crematorium. I think that the sonderkommando revolt in reality destroyed both crematorium and gas chamber.--Anthony.bradbury 18:36, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, you're most likely right. The chapter dealing w/this in Nyszli's book talks only about the crematorium but its reasonable to think the gas chambers were damaged or destroyed too. Thanks. Tommyt 01:58, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Day of the Dead

That's okay. And I myself apologise for using "abuse." I didn't mean it in the strong way you took it, but I could have used a different word. --Bacteria 12:13, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] LOTR grammar

Thanks for your work on the plot summaries. I'm generally concerned with getting information across with the right references. Thanks. Wiki-newbie 19:41, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Manual of Style

Please see the Style Manual given in the links in your recent welcome message. Please don't revert edits to conform punctuation to that. Jonathunder 22:52, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Nice job on the grammar editing for Children of Men. :) Arcayne 18:48, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Many thanks!! I hate HATE it when people use the words "but" or "get" when there are many other, better ways to say the same thing! Tommyt 18:50, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Braveheart edits

Yes, I was hoping to avoid placement of the tag myself (was going to watch the movie again to refresh my memory before going through the plot synopsis to clean out rubbish). I'll begin 'cleaning out the garage' tomorrow, and feel free to contribute your grammar fun as well :)Arcayne 22:44, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Actually, Tommy, I think the soundtrack stuff can stay until we decide to set up a sub-page and article. The music meets the "notable and interesting" criteria for in clusion, but I agree that it makes the article too long. I have never set up a sub page before, though. A lot of FA class articles have soundtrack sections and sub-pages about soundtracks. We have to remember to balance the need for a trimmer article with retaining the requirement that it doesn't lose that which makes it interesting. Maybe we could add it back in, for now, until we set up a sub-page. Could I impose upon you to do that, since I never have?Arcayne 23:37, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
