[edit] Image:Eng Building.jpg has been listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:Eng Building.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

I've uploaded a public domain replacement. If you took the photo yourself, you can tag it as public domain (or with a GNU licence, or whatever you want), or if you have proof that the image is public domain you can add that to the IFD page. I'm going to take a picture of the Fielding Johnson building to replace the copyrighted one, as soon as the chap fixing the flagpole gets off the roof. --ajn (talk) 11:17, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Percy_gee.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Percy_gee.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 11:58, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kimber

Kimber I'm pissed off. Someone seems to have to haven taken away the One Eyed Rat.

If we could do a bit of research, we COULD get something good about it. According to other websites CAMRA say it has some of the best kept beer in the country.

See you soon duder.

[edit] Ken Pounds

I've added and changed a few things. As it stands, the article is clearly a copyvio from the University site. I've removed the black holes part as I don't think that's accurate. You could add some of the info from this document: [1] but it needs to be rephrased, not copied. I know he's in Who's Who, so I'll have to check sometime to make sure I've spelt his middle name right, and for his DOB. JRawle (Talk) 18:16, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

OK, I went back and expanded the article. The point about black holes is he proved there are lots of them – before, the article made him sound like another Stephen Hawking, but that's not his field. I managed to find a profile with his details, so I don't need Who's Who.

By the way, how did you find me? I'm a little uncomfortable writing the article about someone I know, but it's better than leaving a brief stub, I suppose! JRawle (Talk) 22:38, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:ProfSirAlecJeffreys.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:ProfSirAlecJeffreys.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:07, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bonjour

I'd prefer if you didn't use my name on here, but I am identifying myself (as a vegetable kofta eater). Ycdkwm 00:02, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
