[edit] Image:Harrier 10 1280.jpg

Hi. Crown Copyright material is not releasable under GDFL. I'll be listing this for deletion in due course. Mark83 22:29, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for reminding me, I never did list it for deletion. It's done now. Don't worry, I've fallen foul of Crown Copyright before. It's crazy IMO, I don't see why they can't be free use like US GOV images. After all they're normally pics of things we (taxpayers) have paid for, taken with cameras we have paid for! But for now, rules are rules. Best regards Mark83 20:53, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Me so lazy

If anybody wants to spoof my userpage up (i.e. they ahve too much time on their hands), feel free too. Any improvement is welcomed.

[edit] An Automated Message from HagermanBot

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 20:18, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Sterling03.jpg listed for deletion

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Sterling03.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. feydey 16:30, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
