Good day, fellow Wikipedians! I'm Alex Yaksic. I've been contributing to Wikipedia on and off since the Summer of 2004, but have recently began to edit more articles, and I aspire to contribute in a much more refined, if sometimes argumentative manner. I have become dissatisfied with my user name, and would like to, though impossible, change it to: "Porchmonkey4life", which would be much funnier, and I wouldn't have to draw it out into three words, something that, in retrospect, I don't think was such a good idea.
Several friends of mine and I were once asked by a police officer at roughly 9:00 in the evening, whilst enshrouded by darkness, "What are you doing with that flashlight?", a question that I found to be really stupid.
I’m from Everett, Massachusetts and am currently attending high school at Malden Catholic, where the sense of fraternity is palpable. I’ve only completed a year, but in that year, I had a lot of time to inform, educate, confuse and annoy. I'm 5 feet and 9 inches tall. I've created a few articles, but hope to increase my time spent editing and adding articles here in the future.
I find myself to be extremely liberal and secular, and advocate abortion, free love, and life unfettered by such organizations as the Catholic Church and the Republican Party (which I’m confidant will not be preview to the Oval Office for several more terms, after the debacle that is this current presidency.
I currently encourage all to use Wikipedia for absolutely everything, just as I do. All the while, my AP European History teacher denounces the pool of information as something that’s “not credible”, I told him that he’s giving Wikipedia an undeserved bad name; he had no response…
