[edit] Biography

His parents, Tonka and Damir Milicevic decided to move when Tomo was in Grade 3 to Troy and then on to Seattle, Washington in hopes of a better life in America. He is quoted as saying “...I would be in the army by 16, fighting in the front lines by age 17” ([1]). By the time Tomo was 18 years of age his parents had opened a restaurant in L.A.

[edit] Musical history

Tomo practiced to become a concert violinist; he started to play when he was three (3) years old until he turned 19. Then he discovered heavy metal. He told his dad that he wanted to play the guitar, so Tomo and his father made one. His uncle, Bill Milicevic, is a virtuoso violinist and Ph.D from the University of Michigan School of Music. Tomo has been playing guitar professionally for years. He started writing his own music by the age of 17, which has contributed to his unique style of playing.

The guitar that he made with his father was used on the 30 Seconds to Mars sophomore CD titled A Beautiful Lie (2005) in the song Savior.

30 Seconds to Mars recently finished the Welcome To the Universe tour and are currently on the Taste of Chaos tour, co-headlining with The Used which started 15 February
