Tommy Hazouri

Tommy Hazouri (born 1945) is an American politician of the Democratic Party. He served as mayor of Jacksonville, Florida from 1987–1991 and served 6 consecutive terms in the Florida House of Representatives representing District 20 (1974–1984). He was defeated for mayor in 1991 by Ed Austin, and he ran unsuccessfully in 1995 and 2002. He currently serves on the Duval County School Board and is president of Hazouri and Associates, a private consulting firm. Hazouri is of Lebanese descent.

Hazouri attended Andrew Jackson High School, and graduated from Jacksonville University in 1966. During his term as mayor he spearheaded a campaign to rid Jacksonville's roads and bridges of toll booths, and implemented various environmental regulations aimed at getting rid of the city's odor problem.
