Tomite (虚宿) is a Genbu celestial warrior from Yuu Watase's Fushigi Yūgi Genbu Kaiden. He also makes an appearance along with Hikitsu in the original Fushigi Yūgi.

Deadly serious when it comes to his duties to protect the Shinzaho of Genbu, he still retains his holy warrior powers even though he has been dead for two hundred years. It is not clear if he volunteered to guard the Shinzaho or was chosen, but he does take the responsibility very seriously. He tests Miaka's worthiness to possess the Shinzaho by encasing her in ice. When Miaka proves her worth, he escorts her, along with Hikitsu, to the shrine where the Shinzaho is held, though he doesn't say much, and when he does, it is often a practical observation. More information about him is becoming available in the prequel, Fushigi Yūgi Genbu Kaiden.
