Tomaszów Mazowiecki [toh-MAH-shoov mah-zoh-VYETZ-kee] is a town in central Poland with 67,159 inhabitants (2004). Situated in the Łódź Voivodeship (since 1999), it was previously part of Piotrków Trybunalski Voivodeship (1975-1998). According to the 2002 survey, it occupies an area of 41.3 square kilometers.

The town is situated on the banks of three rivers—Pilica, Wolbórka and Czarna Włoszczowska, near the Zalew Sulejowski reservoir and at the edge of the Puszcza Spalska wilderness area.
