Tom Van Sant

Tom Van Sant is noted in the film, "An Inconvenient Truth," for creating the unique image of the planet Earth as seen from space without obstruction by clouds. Al Gore cited Mr. Van Sant for this beautiful and useful 3d image of the Earth.

The image, according to the film, was composited from over 3000 satellite photographs selected to eliminate cloud cover.
