Tom Needham

Tom Needham (April 17, 1879 - December 13, 1926) was a professional baseball player from 1904 to 1914. His first four years, were with the Boston Beaneaters (Later the Boston Red Sox). Needham hit poorly, Hitting below .200 twice. After a brief appearance with the New York Giants in 1908, Needham played his last 6 years with the Chicago Cubs. Still, Needham hit badly, hitting over .200 just once. Despite hitting under .200 8 of his 11 seasons, Needham's career average was .209, due to his first season average of .260. Needham died in his home in Steubenville, Ohio at the age of 47.
