Tom McGuinness (born Thomas John Patrick McGuinness, on 2 December 1941, in Wimbledon, South London) is a musician (mainly guitar and bass guitar), songwriter, author, record and TV producer. He is perhaps best known as a member of the 1960s pop group Manfred Mann. After they disbanded in 1969, he helped to form McGuinness Flint, who split in 1975, and later The Blues Band. He is still a member of the latter and also of The Manfreds, who are basically most of the members of the old 1960s outfit apart from their original keyboard player who worked under the showbusiness name Manfred Mann - hence their name.

He is the author of 'So You Want To Be a Rock'n'Roll Star' (1986).
