Tom Lasorda Baseball

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tom Lasorda Baseball was a Sega Genesis baseball game that featured Tom Lasorda on the title screen. The player can play either an exhibition game or a regular season game. A pre-game difficulty switch makes the game biased either towards the pitcher, batter, or an equal game of skill between pitcher and batter. When this game was released, Tom Lasorda had long since retired, was out of shape and needed to create a new generation of baseball fans. Real city names are used but player names are purely fictious. This game was rated GA for general audiences by Sega's independent ratings council.

Due to his agreement with Sega, this game was never released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System or the Nintendo Game Boy. Also, because this is a licensed game, it will never appear in a re-release of vintage Sega Genesis games for the PlayStation 2 or the upcoming PlayStation 3.
