Tom J. Bordonaro, Jr.

Tom Bordonaro was a Republican California State Assemblyman from 1994-1998. Bordonaro was the first person who used a wheelchair to be elected to the State Assembly. Bordonaro stepped down in 1998 after having made one unsuccessful run for congress in a special election against Lois Capps in early 1998 after the death of Walter Capps. Bordonaro lost to Lois Capps again in November of 1998. Bordonaro is currently the San Luis Obispo County assessor and lost a bid to be Vice Chairman of the California Republican party.
