Tom Higgins (football)

Tom Higgins (b. July 13, 1954 in Colonia, New Jersey) is an American-born Canadian and American football player and coach. He played linebacker at North Carolina State University and for one season (1979) with the National Football League's Buffalo Bills. He played with the Calgary Stampeders and Saskatchewan Roughriders in the CFL. After retiring as a player, Higgins later became head coach of the Canadian Football League's Edmonton Eskimos and Calgary Stampeders. He presently coaches the Calgary Stampeders.
He has won a single Grey Cup as a head coach, with the Eskimos in 2003. He has a wife and three children, one of whom is also named Tom.
