Tom Fitzgerald (poet)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tom Fitzgerald is a contemporary, Boston based poet.
Sample publications include "The Larcom Review" and "Sahara." He was included in the 2001 Grolier Poetry Prize[citation needed], and is known for writings on addiction. His poetry is based on a synthesis of city experience and the natural world.
Poems in the Larcom Review: Past The Ritz. Sahara, A Journal Of New England Poetry: Waking (http://spokenword.to/sahara/enter.html), The Grolier Poetry Prize: Upon Seeing A Man Paint I love You Across The Front Of His Girfriends House, The Child Bug. (http://www.grolierpoetrybookshop.com/). Although not necessarily known for writing on addiction, the theme does manifest itself throughout his poetry. Fitzgerald's poems enter the world of the ordinary and find the beauty, sadness, and sometimes magical within. No currrent books of poetry but seen as an up and comer in the poetry scene, especially in the Worcester to Boston locations.
