Tom Fischer

Tom Fischer is Radio/TV personality, journalist, filmmaker, and public relations strategist. He is best known for being the host of the podcast radio show Tripodder.com, a DJ on 104.1 FM WIKY, founder of LiveOneRadio.com, and his various film projects. As a journalist, Tom Fischer has interviewed some of the most well respected authors, musicians, politicians, filmmakers, and other influential personalities of our era.
Tom was introduced to the global community in 2005 when he appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, FHM, Field and Stream, Car and Driver, and on billboards and other print media modeling in an Evan Williams advertisement.

Speaking with distinctive tones that often make people ask, "Where are you really from?", Tom Fischer is often called "the voice." He started his radio career at 91.5 FM WUEV as the host of the talk radio show "Inside Evansville." Years later, Tom helped to organize a cause that saved WUEV from being sold by the University of Evansville.
In March 2005, he was invited to become an on-air personality on 104.1 FM WIKY in Evansville, Indiana. He continues to DJ on WIKY today.
In June 2005, Tom created www.Tripodder.com, "the first podcast radio for the Tri-State/Greater Evansville area." After seeing the success of Tripodder and the support for regional music, Tom founded LiveOneRadio.com. LiveOneRadio is "a breakthrough in internet radio providing a brilliant mix of regional and mainstream artists."
Tom Fischer is respected for his voice-over talent by radio stations and advertisers across the country. His voice has recently been heard on East Coast spots for celebrity fashion designer Indashio, imaging for Jackson Hole Radio in Wyoming, and a nationwide vacuum clear ad.

While working at FOX 7 WTVW in 2003, Dawn Wells (the original "Mary Ann" from Gilligan's Island) made a guest appearance in the studio. Dawn recruited Tom to work with her Idaho Film and Television Institute (IFTI). At that point, it was called "The Film Actors Boot Camp." In 2004, Dawn Wells, Tom Fischer, and talented group of entertainment professionals started the first annual SpudFest Family Film and Music Festival in Driggs, Idaho. The festival's goal was to showcase independent films and talented musicians featuring "family friendly" entertainment.
During the next two years, Tom worked with such names as John Michael Williams, Ted Wieant, John E. Moyer, and others who inspired Tom to take an even deeper interest in film. This inspired Tom to begin his own independent film projects. Tom is currently working on a documentary in post production.

In addition to coordinating PR and media relations for the SpudFest Family Film & Music Festival, Tom has consulted with a variety of commercial companies and non-profit organizations as a public relations strategist.

Tom Fischer was reporter for Fox 7 WTVW, creating and hosting a segment called "Spotlight on Your Side." He also was a producer for News 25 WEHT. A number of TV commercials have featured Tom in principal roles both on-camera and as a voice-over artist.
