Tom Everett Scott

Tom Everett Scott (born September 7, 1970 in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts) is an American actor. He is best known for his starring roles as drummer Guy Patterson in the 1996 hit movie That Thing You Do! and as Josh Miller in the 1998 film Dead Man On Campus. Scott also had a recurring role on the television series ER, and has played numerous minor parts in other films and television shows. In the summer of 2006, he starred in Saved, a hit dramatic program on the TNT cable network. He is currently appearing on Broadway as the closeted film star Mitchell Green in Douglas Carter Beane's comedy, The Little Dog Laughed. His most recent film appearance is as one of Mandy Moore's boyfriends in the 2007 comedy Because I Said So.
He is an avid poker player and is among the few celebrities to make it to a final table at a World Poker Tour event.
