Thomas F. Ashworth (born October 10, 1977 in Denver, Colorado) is an American football offensive lineman for the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Francisco 49ers out of the University of Colorado at Boulder. Ashworth attended Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
On December 18th, 2005, Ashworth caught a touchdown pass against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from Tom Brady when playing for the New England Patriots. Few offensive linemen have scored a touchdown because they are almost always ineligible receivers. A technical shift in the line allowed Ashworth to catch a short pass in the endzone, earning him the name "Touchdown" Tom Ashworth. Otherwise, he is an average player for his position.
