Tomáš Galásek (born January 15, 1973 in Ostrava) is a Czech football player.
Galásek started his career with Banik Ostrava in 1991, before moving to Willem II Tilburg in 1997, and Ajax in 2000. With Ajax he won the national championship twice and the national cup once and played 26 times in the Champions League.
In 1995 he debuted in the Czech Republic national football team and was with the team in the semi-final of the Euro 2004. Until May 2006 he has recorded over 40 caps for his country. He took part in the 2006 FIFA World Cup as captain of the Czech team.
From 2006 onwards, he will play for Nürnberg in the German Bundesliga, after signing a two year deal with German club.
