[edit] What is TOMMIE?

TOMMIE is the brand name for a commercial online office management software system. Accessed via a web browser, TOMMIE is a fully hosted online application designed to allow staff and managers to work both individually and together, to bring order and efficiency to their working days. The application itself is comprised a number of connected modules, including comprehensive shared calendar/ diary functions, contacts, tasks, memos, holiday management, expenses management, timesheet recording, cost centre control and management reporting.

[edit] How is TOMMIE Accessed?

Being a web application, all that is needed to access TOMMIE, is a web browser and internet access. Whilst this immediately suggests use by desktop and laptop PCs, an increasing number of fully featured mobile phones (Smartphone) also have the ability to access TOMMIE. As such, its makers hope that users will be able to run their working lives wherever they may be.

[edit] The History of TOMMIE

The word TOMMIE is an acronym. It stands for ‘Total Office Management Made Incredibly Easy’. It was designed and built by British new media and web development company Monitor Media. Though it can trace its origins back to 2001, the system only became commercially available in February 2006. Since then it has gradually been enhanced to offer users more features.

[edit] Who Uses TOMMIE?

Though envisioned as being primarily for use by SME’s, larger enterprises have also shown interest in TOMMIE.
