From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tollesby, is a residential area within the Acklam ward situated in the Town of Middlesbrough in the borough of Middlesbrough and the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. The local school is Newham Bridge Primary school. There are also 3 secondary schools; King's Manor Specialist Sports College, Hall Garth Performng Arts College & St. Davids Roman Catholic Technology College. Although they are in close proximity to Tollesby they are considered to be Acklam/Acklam Hall area as they are directly opposite the old Hustler Mansion of Acklam Hall, which itself is now a campus of Middlesbrough College. It has 1 public House, The Endeavour (named after Cpt. Cook's famous vessel) situated on Newbridge court. The future of this pub is uncertain as the land on which the surrounding shops and flats occupy has been sold and is earmarked for demolition. It is uncertain what the land will then be used for.
