The Tolkien Society of Sweden is world's first J. R. R. Tolkien society started in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1968 by members of Club Cosmos. They published the member magazine Långbottenbladet. Originally it was just called "The Tolkien Society" but when the British society of the same name was created the members added "of Sweden" to its name.[1][2]
