Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line

The Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line (東京地下鉄有楽町線 Tōkyō Chikatetsu Yūrakuchō-sen?) is a subway line. Part of the Tokyo Metro system, the 28.3 km line connects Wako-shi Station in the city of Wako, Saitama Prefecture and Shin-Kiba Station in Koto Ward, Tokyo, Japan. In the numbering scheme of the Tokyo subways, it is Line 8. On maps, its color is gold, often taken as yellow; stations on the Yurakucho Line carry the letter Y and a two-digit number.

- October 30, 1974: Ikebukuro - Ginza-itchōme section opens.
- March 27, 1980: Ginza-itchōme - Shintomichō section opens.
- June 24, 1983: Chikatetsu Narimasu - Ikebukuro section opens.
- August 25, 1987: Wakōshi - Chikatetsu Narimasu section opens. Through service to Tōbu Tōjō Main Line begins.
- June 8, 1988: Shintomichō - Shin-kiba section opens. Current line complete.
- March 18, 1993: New 07 series trains enter service.
- December 7, 1994: Quadruple-track section from Kotake-Mukaihara to Ikebukuro opens. Through service to Seibu Yūrakuchō Line begins.
- October 31, 2005: Women-only cars introduced.
- September 1, 2006: New 10000 series trains enter service.

The 3.2 km quadruple-track segment between Kotake Mukaihara Station and Ikebukuro Station will eventually become part of Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line.
A new branch from Toyosu station heading north via Kameari Station (on the Joban Line) to Noda in northwestern Chiba is also being planned.

Responsible for minor examinations. For major examinations, trains run to Ayase Works (綾瀬工場) on the Chiyoda Line via an underground connecting line.
- Shin-Kiba Car Renewal(新木場CR)
- This is a factory which specializes in refurbishment work. Chiyoda Line and Hanzo-Mon Line trains are also refurbished here.
