Tokugawa Tsunenari

Tokugawa Tsunenari (徳川恆孝; also 徳川恒孝Tokugawa Tsunenari; 1940-) Present (18th generation) head of the main Tokugawa house. His great-grandfather by his birth family was the famed Matsudaira Katamori of Aizu. Tsunenari was active for many years in foreign trade, and at present is the head of the nonprofit Tokugawa Foundation.
His successor will be his son, the University of Michigan-educated translator Tokugawa Iehiro.
