Pilbilly Knights releases its debut album “California Nigth Club” to great responses.
Los Angeles based Alt-Country band Pilbilly Knights led by Todd Lowe (Zack from the popular WB Show Gilmore Girls)
Ian Montone (Mgr. White Stripes) – “Todd has a great future in Songwriting.”

LOS ANGELES – Pilbilly Knights, a soulful, yet quirky Silverlake based alt-country band led by Texas born front man Todd Lowe as his alter ego “Randy Buth.” Randy is a likeable quirky kind of guy you would expect to meet out in some dive bar in a small East Texas town or maybe a trailer park for that manner. Blazing Harmonica solos and soulful fills are played by Padrick Peper, notably the only member of the band yet to have appeared in Rolling Stone Magazine. Padrick has toured and played on stage with many great acts including The Amazing Jim Kweskin, and Richie Kotzen (formerly of Poison and Mr. Big.) James “Fast Lane” Lane, an actor as well by trade with appearances on 24 and Days of our Lives, provides a solid beat and amazing vocal harmonies. Also a funny note Todd aka. “Randy” and James went to high school together in Houston, TX.. Lastly, but not least, is the rock solid bass beat with great licks from Bassist Jacob Morgan hailing from Northern California keeps everyone going. Jacob also provides harmonies, lead vocals on “Ese Chai Tea”.
About the Album
“California Night Club” is a promising start to a song catalogue with a sardonic style of songwriting which leaves you wanting to hear more. With thought provoking songs that change perspectives from 1st and 2nd persons like “Ben Lauden” and “Kapital K” making social commentary on the war in Iraq and Racism. To songs with humorous, catchy, riotous riffs and lyrics like “DUI” and “Line Dance” (hits with many P.K. fans already). There are also soulful touching ballads reminiscent of Willie Nelson in the song “Anestasia” for those who enjoy the softer side. Of course there are the songs with the lyrics highlighting the seedier side of life and the vices that plague us all in songs like “Footwater”, “Tippin Man” or “Married Woman.” In it’s nature this album is a compilation of experiences and thoughts presented through an interesting perspective with something for all tastes!
