Toadette (キノピコ, Kinopiko^?) is a fictional character in Nintendo's Mario series of video games. She is a female member of the Toad species. Little is known about her because she debuted in mainly multiplayer spin-off games. Her Japanese name is a combination of "Kinopio", and "-ko", a common Japanese female name suffix.

[edit] Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Here is Toadette's debut. It is believed that she is Toad's girlfriend. Along with Toad, she is unlocked by winning the 100cc Special Cup. Her kart is the Toadette Kart, and her special item is the Golden Mushroom (which she shares with Toad). However, Petey Piranha and King Boo can also use this item as they use everybody's special items.

Toadette is an unlockable character in Mario Party 6. She is unlocked by buying her at the Star Bank for 30 stars.

Toadette is an unlockable player in Mario Superstar Baseball. She's a speed-type player, and is unlocked by completing Challenge Mode with Princess Peach as a Team Captain.

Toadette is playable in Mario Party 7, but she does not need to be unlocked. Her unique orb in this game is the Triple 'Shroom Orb, which she shares with Toad. When used, the orb will allow the player to move using two dice blocks for three turns in a row.

Toadette has been confirmed to be a playable character in the upcoming Wii game, Mario Party 8. She is seen in many screenshots.

[edit] Mario Power Tennis

Toadette and Toad have an overlookable cameo in the intro movie to Mario Power Tennis where they appear as an icon to the left on the tournament board that Wario and Waluigi deface. It is possible that they were originally intended to be playable characters, and the plans to do so were scrapped after the intro movie was created.

[edit] Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Toadette guides the player through a tutorial whenever Mario receives a jump or hammer upgrade. Also, if the player changes the time on the GameCube's internal clock, the large, brown Bob-omb called Lucky will mention that someone changed the clock, causing the lottery numbers to mess up, and when he told Toadette this, she cried her eyes out. She is also mentioned on the back of the bulletin board in Rogueport, where it is revealed that she loves animals.

[edit] Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix

Toadette, who is voiced by Jennifer Hale, appears in level 2-1 of DDR: Mario Mix. She has a seaside hotel that was once unintentionally mutated by the S.S. Brass, which the whirlwind jettison the S.S. Brass en route to the second Music Key. She perceived that as vandalism towards her hotel, and demanded them to restitute her hotel. Mario and Toad reversed the damage done to her hotel, but leave before Toadette has time to explain the dangers of the sea they are about to sail.

Toadette hosts Challenge Land in Mario Party Advance. She asks you where you want to go and what level of difficulty you want to play at (Much like Toad). She also helps Toad in Party Land.
