TNA Sacrifice

Sacrifice is an annual professional wrestling pay-per-view event held by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in the month of May. The first one was held in August 2005. When event names were shuffled by TNA for 2006, the name was moved to May. Sacrifice has had a tradition of being the final round of tournaments. Sacrifice 2005 saw Samoa Joe defeat A.J. Styles to win the Super X Cup. Sacrifice 2006 was the final round of the World X Cup Tournament.

Sacrifice 2005 took place on August 14, 2005 from the iMPACT! Zone (Soundstage 21 at Universal Orlando Resort) in Orlando, Florida. The promotional poster and DVD cover prominently featured Raven.
- Pre-Show Match: Apolo and Sonny Siaki defeated Mikey Batts and Jerrelle Clark (4:25)
- Siaki pinned Batts after a Gorilla press slam/Cutter combination.
- Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt and Shark Boy defeated The Diamonds in the Rough (Simon Diamond, David Young and Elix Skipper) (7:24)
- Sabin pinned Skipper with a Small Package.
- Alex Shelley defeated Shocker (8:55)
- Shelley pinned Shocker with his feet on the ropes.
- Abyss (w/James Mitchell) defeated Lance Hoyt (9:12)
- Abyss pinned Hoyt after a Black Hole Slam.
- 3Live Kru (Ron Killings and Konnan) defeated Kip James and Monty Brown (w/B.G. James as Special Guest Referee) (7:31)
- Konnan pinned Kip after a Facejam after B.G. James intercepted Kip's chair and attacked him.
- Christopher Daniels defeated Austin Aries (9:30)
- Daniels pinned Aries after the Angel's Wings.
- Aries was selected in an internet poll over Roderick Strong, Jay Lethal and Matt Sydal.
- Jerry Lynn defeated Sean Waltman (15:23)
- Lynn pinned Waltman with a Victory Roll.
- After the match, an irate Waltman attacked Lynn until Shark Boy, Chris Sabin, and Sonjay Dutt came out to help Lynn.
- Team Canada (Petey Williams, Bobby Roode, Eric Young and A-1) (w/Coach D'Amore) defeated America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) and The Naturals (Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas) (w/Jimmy Hart) (11:10)
- Roode pinned Stevens with a Small Package.
- TNA 2005 Super X Cup Tournament Finals: Samoa Joe defeated A.J. Styles (15:05)
- Joe forced Styles to submit with the Coquina Clutch to earn a shot at the TNA X Division Championship.
- Jeff Jarrett and Rhino defeated Raven and Sabu (16:11)
- Rhino pinned Raven after a Gore through a table set up in the corner.

The promotional poster had the logo for the event superimposed over icons of various national flags, with the tagline Global Turmoil, highlighting the TNA 2006 World X Cup Tournament. The DVD cover featured Christian Cage and Abyss with the tagline Full Metal Mayhem.
- Jushin Liger (w/Team Japan (Black Tiger IV, Minoru Tanaka, and Hirooki Goto)) defeated Petey Williams (w/Team Canada (Eric Young, Johnny Devine, and Tyson Dux)) in a World X Cup match (7:16)
- Liger pinned Williams after a CTB.
- America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) defeated A.J. Styles and Christopher Daniels to retain the NWA World Tag Team Championship (15:30)
- Harris pinned Styles after hitting him with a nightstick thrown down from the rafters by Gail Kim.
- Raven defeated A-1 (w/Larry Zbyszko) (5:19)
- Raven pinned A-1 after a Raven Effect DDT.
- Bobby Roode (w/Coach D'Amore) defeated Rhino (12:07)
- Roode pinned Rhino after a Northern Lariat.
- The James Gang (B.G. James and Kip James) defeated Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) (9:35)
- B.G. pinned Devon after hitting him with a lead pipe.
- Petey Williams won a World X Cup Gauntlet
- Also in the match were: Minoru Tanaka, Puma, Chris Sabin, Hirooki Goto, Incognito, Johnny Devine, Sonjay Dutt, Black Tiger IV, Magno, Eric Young, Alex Shelley, Jushin Liger, Shocker, Tyson Dux and Jay Lethal.
- Williams pinned Puma after a Canadian Destroyer.
- After the match, Kevin Nash entered the ring and delivered a Jackknife Powerbomb to Puma.
- Sting and Samoa Joe defeated Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner (w/Gail Kim) (14:24)
- Joe pinned Jarrett after a Muscle Buster.
- After the match, Steiner and Jarrett attacked Sting until The James Gang, Rhino, and Christopher Daniels(among others) came out to help Sting.
- Christian Cage defeated Abyss (w/James Mitchell) in a Full Metal Mayhem match to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship (16:10)
- Cage grabbed the belt to win the match and reclaim the physical title belt, which had been stolen by Abyss at Lockdown 2006.
