TLU-01 refers to the Tamiya Light Unit 01. It is part of Tamiya's Hop Up Options, part number 53909. It replaces the outdated Light Bulb Kit with a new setup that allows for up to 16 LEDs to be powered at once. It runs off of 7.2v, with an adapter for taking power from the running battery.

The TLU-02 is an separately available add-on unit that works in conjunction with the TLU-01 to control advanced reactive lighting, such as brake lights, reverse lights, and turn signals. It is programmable and also allows use of a siren.
