[edit] User name vandal

New user TJ Spike created a new account with a name similar to yours. He's been reverting every edit you've recently done and called it vandalism. He's using the name to attack you. Here's a nice little edit in particular [1]. Anyways, just thought I'd let you know. -- bulletproof 3:16 18:09, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

I'll alert an admin I know whose on right now. Bmg916Speak to Me 18:12, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
No prob. Deskana already took care of it. -- bulletproof 3:16 18:13, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Just saw that, good stuff. Bmg916Speak to Me 18:16, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
He just created a sock in User:Wrestlingrules. He also commented on an AfD that you just nominated. I reverted it though and Deskana took care of him. Again, just thought I'd let you know. -- bulletproof 3:16 19:08, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
He's back as User:Steelchair now. 22:51, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Oy. Maybe I should report him and his sockpuppets, have this users IP blocked since he obviously has no intention to stop. TJ Spyke 22:52, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Is there a way to find out his IP? If there is, I can take a look at the account creation logs and find any possible sleeper accounts. Bmg916Speak to Me 23:58, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Hopefully the IP gets blocked. Even if it does, I'd still ask Deskana to check the User creation logs on the IP for any possible sleeper accounts. Bmg916Speak to Me 00:09, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
The damn socks wont stop! User:Rightman2's contribs -- bulletproof 3:16 10:09, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
I think I know who may be behind all this... User:Factual80man... -- bulletproof 3:16 10:27, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Two new ones! User:Spielberg2002 and User:The master of puppets! They haven't been blocked yet.-- bulletproof 3:16 18:28, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
I know I just reported him. Damn socks!!! -- bulletproof 3:16 22:09, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
NICE! Blocked with only three reverted pages! New record Deskana! -- bulletproof 3:16 22:12, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

The whole, what-you-should-have-done/correct-article-title-is thing isn't exactly helping matters here. Chris cheese whine 05:31, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

I am trying to help him out by explaining how things are done, but he doesn't seem to want to listen to anyone. TJ Spyke 05:34, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New Sock

Reported to Yamla, let's see what happens, I think he's waiting on the checkuser to tak any further action. But I'm sure they'll all come back confirmed, then they'll get indef blocked, and if he continues more than likely a community ban. Can you believe this guy wants to be an administrator? That's a laugh. Bmg916Speak to MeLeave Your Mark 22:16, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

Haha, I know. Somehow I doubt a person who creates sockpuppet account after sockpuppet account to revert another users edits over and over is somebody that Wikipedia wants to give admin powers too. TJ Spyke 22:18, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Aw, c'mon, you wouldn't want a sysop who says FUCK THIS FUCKIN SHIT every other edit summary? Bmg916Speak to MeLeave Your Mark 22:34, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, I wasn't here during the sock's return. Glad its over with for now. How'd it go? -- bulletproof 3:16 04:59, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
He got banned (of coarse) and all the edits were reverted back. TJ Spyke 04:55, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

While Nintendo stated at one point in time that this game took place a few decades after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, they also stated at numerous times that it took place 100 years after Ocarina of Time. They also stated that it took place sometime after Ocarina of Time but before The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, even though a recent interview stated that the two games took place in entirely different timelines, one following the future ending of Ocarina of Time and one following the past ending. The game makes it QUITE clear that it is impossible to take place only a few decades after Ocarina of Time, as the Hero of Time is referred to as "the ancient hero" which refers to much more than a few decades, the Temple of Time is completely broken down which would take longer than a few decades, and Ganondorf is almost entirely forgotten, which would take more than a few decades. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DrZaius1 (talkcontribs).

[edit] More Zelda

The source is here. http://www.nindori.com/interview/154zelda/154int_02.html Since you most likely cannot read Japanese, I'll also paste the translation as it is provided on Wikipedia.

[Partial translation: "ND – About when is the Twilight Princess timeline set? Aonuma – In a world some hundred years after 'Ocarina of Time.' ND – And 'Wind Waker'? Aonuma – 'Wind Waker' is parallel. In 'Ocarina of Time,' Link jumps to a world seven years ahead, defeats Ganon, and returns to the time of his childhood, right? 'Twilight Princess' is a world some hundred years after that pacified childhood time."]

As you can see, this not only confirms the double timeline, but also shows that Twilight Princess now takes place some hundred years after Ocarina of Time, not a few decades. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DrZaius1 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Question

Hey TJ just wanted to ask a question. I've forgotten and was wondering if you could tell me, where do i get those boxes that you have on your User page. (those things like what you use or what u do). It would be helpful if you could reply ---Belevsquad 04:29, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. ---Belevsquad 07:25, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wrestlemania 23 Layla & Brooke

OK, I know that you know that they haven't announced Brooke as "Brooke Adams" or Layla as "Layla El". So stop listing Brooke & Layla including their last names, even though the other ladies use their last names they don't.

[edit] WM23

Please don't mark my edits as vandalism unless they are described by the policy as such. --wL<speak·check> 00:17, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Come to think about it, would any person in the promotion appearing at WrestleMania be notable enough. The boogeyman skit in my view is as notable as the dancing legends one before it. --wL<speak·check> 00:33, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Logical Note

If you have a DVR go back to the beginning of the match. Before The match begins you will see very long close ups on shawn and Cena, at one point michaels waves goodbye to the fan. If you rewind to before these, you will see a wide shot of the ring, and a man with no shirt and white shorts is in the ring. Other PPV's have made notes of happenings like this one and it is a logical note. You will hear JR say, "well we certainly appreciate the fans from all over the world..." I have a picture. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bartleby191 (talkcontribs) 02:55, 2 April 2007 (UTC).

Actually, we don't note that kind of stuff. Just like we didn't note when a fan climbed on JBL's limo at SummerSlam 2004. TJ Spyke 02:58, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
fair enough I thought For sure one of the major ones from an in your house show was noted, but frankly I'm not gonna bother lookin it up :) \
Did you find it bro? I put up a pic on the talk we were in.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bartleby191 (talkcontribs) 03:20, 2 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Wrestler ages

Why are you removing the "birth date and age" templates from wrestlers' articles? SteveLamacq43 20:33, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't really see a need for it to go through WP:PW as it's not a big deal at all and you're the only person who seems to think it is, by removing it. SteveLamacq43 10:41, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Stop removing the template. You know there's a consensus being reached, and just because it's not the one you want doesn't mean you can do what clearly could be construed as vandalism.SteveLamacq43 11:44, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Meta:Don't be a dick. You gave your opinion on the consensus here (20:27, 3 April 2007) and then continued to be awkward a day later here. Also, making this personal by reverting perfectly legitimate, unrelated edits, i.e. this, is not the way to go. SteveLamacq43 22:29, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] O Fortuna

O Fortuna's pretty recongisable. The music can be heard at http://brucehasmorethenchuck.ytmnd.com. The druids entered to some "generic druid music", to be blunt. -- Oakster  Talk  22:38, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Survivor Series Heat Match

Hey TJ, I found another description of the Jeff vs. Val match that took place before the 2000 Survivor Series and is included as an extra on the DVD. It is from 411mania.com, formerly 411wrestling.com, which (from what I have heard) seems to be a reliable source. If so, please put the match back on the article. Here's the site: [2] --Andresg770 16:23, 3 April 2007 (UTC)--Andresg770 15:44, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

I found another recap of that exact same heat episode on LordsofPain.net. I don't know how reliable this site is, but I know it's been around for a while and has detailed recaps of Heat episodes going back to 1998. Here's the site: [3] --Andresg770 15:02, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Here's another mention of the match from TheHistoryofWWE.com: [4] (just scroll down--WAY down--to the 2000 Survivor Series recap) --Andresg770 16:05, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

why is the john cena shawn michaels note gone? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Raginclimax (talkcontribs).

Because it's not notable, it's the same reason we don't note Eddie Guerrero wrestling Rey Mysterio at WM 21. TJ Spyke 22:29, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Adam1090

He must have done something special to deserve that.-- bulletproof 3:16 02:43, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Haha, kinda pathetic that he pretends to have someone give him a barnstar. Hmm, maybe I should put the barnstars on userpage instead of leaving them in my talk archives. TJ Spyke 02:50, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
They would look good on it. -- bulletproof 3:16 02:57, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Do you think you can find the one I gave you in your archives?-- bulletproof 3:16 03:00, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah. It will take a little while to go through my archives and do it, so I will probably wait until tomorrow. TJ Spyke 03:03, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Someone with the quantity of edits that you have almost needs to list the barnstars. It just doesn't look right without them. Peace, -- The Hybrid 04:34, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Now his sock is giving him awards. Great...-- bulletproof 3:16 23:12, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Isn't that just the cutest thing? I removed it. Creating a sock a lone is a no-no, but creating one just to give yourself a barnstar? ew. Bmg916SpeakSign 23:19, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
I just finished opening a WP:SSP report, as he made one of his typical copyright violations with the account. Peace, -- The Hybrid 23:24, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bryan Danielson

Thank you for your recent additions to this article. However they have been reverted due to: removal of tags asking for citations without providing references for said material, and restoring unreferenced material in violation of WP:LIVING policy. Please see WP:CITE for details on what are reliable sources and how to cite them in the article. Your cooperation bringing this article in line is appreciated. RFerreira 08:22, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] re Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dojo, Oh No!/ Finding Hershel

Well, I think enough editors wanted them to stay as stubs for future expansion. Recasting them as redirects would discourage this. My personal opinion FWIW is that they are cruft and I would have preferred to see them deleted or recast as redirect. Herostratus 20:23, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

  • Well, the redirect would take them to the page being redirected to. They would have to sniff out the original page by clicking on the small-font link below the title (if that even comes up, I'm not sure) and then be confident enough to know that they can remake a redirect as a normal article. Whereas if the article doesn't exist, there is a much more creation-friendly message (basically "Doesn't exist! Wanna write it?"). I don't see huge numbers of people searching on Ying Yan Yo! episode titles anyway. They would probably start at the main article, I guess. Herostratus 20:31, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
  • OOps, what am I thinking, we're not deleting the articles. Brain freeze. Well anyway, even more so: an existing article is a much more congenial invitation to editing then is a redirect. Herostratus 20:35, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Why do you delete everyone's contributions without reason, did someone drop dead and make you boss of all wrestling entries. Fucking Cena didnt drive the car down to the ring. Its not factual what you have changed it back too —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Raginclimax (talkcontribs)..

I did not change it back, I shortened it up. TJ Spyke 21:42, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WM 23 Fan interference

Should this be added when the DVD comes out, if it gets edited out? 24.191.99.78 03:58, 5 April 2007 (UTC)SocBy19

No. It's not really that notable. TJ Spyke 03:58, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Biographies of living persons

Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, has said time and time again that unsourced biographies are not to be permitted, and that adding a series of cite tags and walking away from the article is equally unacceptable. [5] There are serious implications at stake every time we get it wrong, and these policies are in place for just that reason. Its frustrating that such a large segment is so poorly sourced, use this as an opportunity to make necessary improvements as they are identified. This does not mean reverted back to unsourced material in the meantime until reliable sources can be found, if they even exist. If you have any further comments regarding this, please direct them to the current thread on WP:AN for community consideration. Thank you, Can't sleep, clown will eat me 04:19, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reply

Well, I'm sorry you think that. However, I do feel it is notable, and it was notable enough that the announcers usually mentioned it, so I honestly don't understand why you think it hurts to have it on there. --Leandar 23:46, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Well in that case, I can understand. Thanks for explaining and clearing it up for me. I really hate when someone just erases a change without explaining and I appreciate you taking the time to do so. By the way, am I supposed to reply to you by doing it this way or on my user page? Just so I'll know for next time. --Leandar 00:05, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Ok, will do. Still kinda new to this whole thing and it still feels kinda complicated. Thanks for the time. --Leandar 00:27, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] NWA UPNY

You going to the show in East Henrietta on Saturday? Bmg916SpeakSign 00:29, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

I wish I was, but I don't have money for tickets. I will have to wait for their next show in my area. TJ Spyke 00:31, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Ah, boo, I just bought tickets. It's my friend's birthday so I'm takin' 'em. Bmg916SpeakSign 00:35, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My Watchlist

I don't know about you TJ but my watchlist isn't working right. Its showing edits made to pages from 2 hours ago instead of current edits. Just wondering if you are having the same problem as me. -- bulletproof 3:16 04:59, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm having the same problem as you bp3:16. That, and half my talkpage has magically become bold, or it looks like it on my computer. I checked, and it doesn't look like a coding problem. Wikipedia must me screwing up. Peace, -- The Hybrid

Well it know seems to be working fine. I cleared by Temp Internet files. -- bulletproof 3:16 06:05, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Mine is working fine now to. -- The Hybrid 09:13, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
The WM23 did say 25 million. Check the history page instead of trusting your watchlist because they're acting up again. -- bulletproof 3:16 23:27, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Its not just the watchlists now. The contrib pages are also messed up. Your comment on my talk page hasn't even shown up on your contribs page. -- bulletproof 3:16 23:34, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Adding in warnings to articles

Adding in your own personal warning isn't acceptable, and is certainly a sign of controlling in my opinion. I added a talk page section for it: but I can bet only a few people will respond there, which isn't much of a consensus. I think I might consider a request for comment for outside opinions on this: as a lot of wrestling fans (and friends of yours) will obviously be baised to keep some cruft. The dance segment didn't affect the event itself: it's certainly not notable. It was a backstage segment to use time, just as the Boogey Man/Donald Trump segment was (which no one is adding anymore, as it's useless cruft like the dancing is). RobJ1981 05:37, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WM 24

Why does this PPV even have an article yet? It won't be happening for another year almost. -- The Hybrid 08:25, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

I didn't create it; but because we have the confirmed location and date. It's the same reason we have an article on next year's Super Bowl (and the Super Bowl after that). TJ Spyke 08:32, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Moan, I guess that's as good a reason as any, but it is already being vandalized. I didn't even think that it would exist yet, but them I saw it listed in the WM template. It would be nice to create a project policy stating that we won't create a PPV article until the first match has been announced, but if a new user creates it we won't have it deleted. Peace, -- The Hybrid 08:41, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Now the WrestleMania 25 page is being vandalized too. Just wanted to bring this to your attention. I suggest adding it to your watchlists also.-- bulletproof 3:16 17:24, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
It already is on my watchlist, it just usually isn't vandalized when I am online. TJ Spyke 21:06, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Survivor Series layout

Well, the editor on the NYR 2006 page I think, uses a good style for the elimination moves. It's on a few other pages as well. In regards to the difference in fans and non-fans, it still makes sense. A non-fan can just click on the moves that they don't know about and find out about them, which is probably what an encyclopedia was invented for, your thoughts? TheHeartbreakKid15 00:06, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

I disagree there. It wouldn't work if it wasn't in the table, but because it's in the layout of a table, it gets away with it. TheHeartbreakKid15 00:28, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] admin.

Hey. I've been lookign through your edits (you pop up on my watchlist all the time fixing up pw articles) and I think you'd make a great admin. Before I nominate you though, I'd have to ask you to remove the gfdl tag (abotu preferring fair use) if you accept, only because of how people that frequent rfa are (I dont' have a problem with it, I'm jsut takign precautions).
