[edit] History
[edit] The King of Fighters
When the events of King Of Fighters 2003 occur, Tizoc is an up and coming superstar in the professional wrestling circuit and joins the Fatal Fury team after being invited by Terry Bogard himself after his brother Andy becomes unavailable since he is teaching a young boy in Shiranui style Ninjitsu in Japan. (The boy would later grow up to be known as Hokutomaru in the Garou series).
[edit] Fatal Fury
By the time of Garou, Mark Of The Wolves, Tizoc already sees himself as a washed up has-been and enters the tournament in order to gain his passion into going back into the ring.
[edit] Trivia
- He makes a cameo in KOF 2002 in the Mexico stage.
- Because Tizoc took Andy's place on the Fatal Fury team in KOF 2003, Mai briefly wonders whether he is Andy, but quickly realizes Tizoc is much too tall and well-muscled to be her boyfriend.
- Although Tizoc is voiced by the same seiyuu, his voice in Garou & KoF are completely different.
- Tizoc shares a lot of similarities with King from the Tekken series. They are both Mexican, are professional wrestlers, both of them wear a mask resembling an animal's head (King wears a Jaguar mask while Tizoc wears a griffon mask), and both are motivated by children.
- While some think both wrestlers, Tizoc and King, share the same concept source, the retired real life Mexican wrestler Fray Tormenta (Father Storm).(Unfortunately, there is little evidence to back up this claim, however.) Rather, based on Tizoc's Japanese name, look, and some of the names of his special moves, it is more likely he is a reference to the famous Japanese professional wrestler and Manga protagonist Tiger Mask.
- The name Tízoc hails from an ancient ruler of the Mexican-native Aztec culture.
