Titus Julius Priscus

Titus Julius Priscus , (mid 3rd century Roman usurper) .

When he was the governor of Macedon, Priscus, also permitted himself to be proclaimed Augustus at Philippopolis towards the end of 251, probably with Gothic collusion . The Senate declared him a public enemy almost as soon as he chose usurpation.He probably survived Decius, but is likely to have perished when Gallus became emperor.
